some songs on NG stand out from the others.

absolutely goregous. was directed here thru virago. this is a great stand-alone tho! very atmosphereic and emotion-filled. I hope you are very pleased w/ how this turned out!

popraz responds:

Thank you ! I am pleased, especially because so many people are pleased, which means I did something right.

its good

Lots of fun, bouncy energy in this. Loops excellently. but it feels like its missing that certian 'je ne sais quoi'. And I seriously have been trying to think of what I want to hear added (its a plug-in I know it, just don't know what one >: \ ). I would also like to hear some pad work. If it's ok w/ you (and if you use FL), may I look at the flp for this?

Love it

Reminds me of an old favorite here on NGs by Synteza called Hills and Wolves. lots of work with this flutes and ambient feel of things. AND on top of that, kinda has a flavor of the Chieftan theme from Killer Instinct 1.

Like this one a lot. Lots of fun to chillax to.

I'll tell you why I like this song so much. I can hear and feel the lonely elements that you described above, BUT this song does not *feel* lonely, it feels like looking forward to and trusting in better days ahead. It doesn't try to be super complex, extravagent or strive for attention, it's just itself - which is a truth I think is good to hold on to in above described life-situation. And somewhere in the midst of all that, just trusting in a better tomorrow is like balm for the heart.

Way to make an imprint of and share your soul bro.

HOLY COW!

purely high-quality excellence.

Thanks!

ok. I liked how you started it off simple. how long did that opening melody take you? that would have taken me forever! good job on it. its very creative and dynamic. the synth you intro'd slowly was really eery (what is the proper way to spell that word anyways?) but really well done. Like g-ma's apple pie, very nice! It has a nice build. it also gave a very different feel from all your other stuff! and a different I am enjoying.

Ah, someone had fun w/ sliceX, huh ^____^ I like how the vocal you chose has a slightly musical ring to it, but you can tell that it was orignally not intended for that. Good ear on catching and using that. My one critique on the slice-x work is that it is very attention demanding in spots towards the end (where you have the vocal playing at successive [what I am guessing are] 8th or 16th notes), and distracts from the lovely pad work you have in this piece. As a side question, where did you grab that vocal? It sounds vaugely like a movie I have watched, but I can't remember . . . and at times this reminds me of the 300 remix . . .

wait . . . it's ghost, isn't it?

Nice arrangement

I've never played the Ragnarok games, but I do enjoy this. very mellow and relaxing. Makes me want to play DnD to this ^___^; yes, I am a geek.

I'm gonna download it b/c it's pretty enjoyable. Like the choirs, btw.

Bahamut0ne responds:

Wow, thanks for the good review! I, sadly, have never played Ragnarok either, although i am an avid player of Neverwinter nights, a computerized version of DnD.

Again, thank you for the review and possible download. it is good to know that my work is appreciated.

could so see this

in DDR. pretty fun, well composed, not exactly my flavor palete for techno stuff . . . a little too anime-esque, but still, the quality is high enoug that I can't ignore it. Kinda reminds me of dino-crisis 3 for some reason ??? prolly the space thing . . .

like a never-ending abyss of awesome

THat opening pad has a GREAT attack, and the little zing it has when the note starts - it is an excellently crafted pad. As always, DnB always makes chillaxing soundscapes sound awesome, so well done there. like the 2:01 part. building up into the 2:38 part, I would have liked to have seen an instrument that was pitch-shifting. As it is, it's a little too abrupt of a "back to the main part" for my taste. And instead of jumping right into the energy, I kinda felt slapped by it . . . : \

But this is a very enjoyable piece never the less. And I know why I have such an affinity for that opening pad. It reminds me of Legend of Dragoon to a T. W00tz for nostalgia! 9/5 and a download.

KrawniK responds:

Yes, I understand what you mean with buildup.

I may go back and take another look at it.

well, it's very unique

for a first song, you have a lot to build on. a melody or some chords would really have made this piece stand out a little bit more and added some flavor.

But going off of what I see here, I could see you excelling in one of two music genres: extreme ambient or industrial.

Keep at it. Music can be difficult to get a hang of at first. keep me posted on future songs please.

darkamie616 responds:

kk will do, and ill try and improve this song, thanks for your feedback :)

I have a message. A message I intended to deliver in a medium few have broadcasted it in before. Its nothing new, but the world must know. You must know.
