yeah, I'd say you were successful

really enjoyable. A must download. I could easily see this playing in a rave and tons of people dancing retardedly like ravers do. Love the synth that transitions in in the beginning. really caught me by surprise that it would be there and the beat and bass of it was sheer excellence. ^_______^

Darren-M responds:

thank you! my objective was to make interesting synths for this piece.

im glad you enjoyed it. :)

hmmm

I like it with the vocals. I looked up the original and you did an awesome job!

I haven't be loafing! I swear. k, mebe a little loafing, But I HAVE put some work in on this one - the process is slowed down due to the fact that I don't have XXL :( I should be able to put something up soon. I hope. I'll need to send you an email explaining . . .

CyrusOfNaias responds:

Pleeease do, man :)

Thx!

wow -_- . . .

my. I had no idea what you were trying to do with this one. now I am immensely amused. glad you explained it to "nogrounds" below, cuz I was very lost w/ this project.

But hands down, the FUNNIEST part is at the end. ^__^

x3 thx m8

holy cow dude

the beginning is so AMAZING! SERIOUSLY! I was thinking "this deserves weekly attention." Tho the first transition could use some work. I would have liked to have heard a transition slightly likeable to the cool-down you have 3/4ths through the song. But once your ear gets a feel for where you are taking the song, it's really quite enjoyable ^__^

Can't say enough about those strings bro. They are hauntingly captivating and hug something deep-down and intimate w/in the soul. I hope you are proud of this. I would be if this was my brain-baby.

And instant favorite, a download is the only senseable thing, and a 9 and a 5 ^_'

This is liquid esctasy

I hope you are very pleased with this. Your effort does not go to waste in this song to the slightest degree! It's beautiful all around, very chaotic at parts, but so so so so enjoyable. That pad you use is very lush. is it a VST? which is it if it is?

This is very addictive, I will be listening to this for weeks to come. Keep 'em coming Hopeku, you're doing great, and I'll do my best to review them!

hopeku responds:

No vsts for me!

It's all Reason's machines :)

Thanks buddy!

sheer WOW

this certainly would be a sight to see someone play this in person. I can't exactly see the bowser thing . . . : \ but thats not important to enjoying the song (thank goodness ^__^). overall compostion is superb, as well as the constant energy. Something is always goin on, and the great thing - none of it crowds anything else out. So good job on the EQing! The transistions are like butter. A big stick of butta.

In reflecting on the name of the title, it certainly opens up the song, allowing me to "see/hear" which part is which. The tribulation but precision order in the beginning, and of course the lighter, hopeful, happier part at the end - leading on to something better. You certainly nailed the heaven feel on the nose. Even Assasin caught it ^_^

Excellent job! keep it up and don't stop expressing that creative spirit in you!

Dude09 responds:

Thank you very much for the great review ^_^ by any chance what does EQ mean? Definately thanks for the motivation to keep going, I'm hoping to go crazy at majoring in composition in college :)

very nice

this isn't exactly my style of music, but I can't ignore the fact that this song has quality and work put into it. It is remeniscent of a couple different things at once. Spyro for one, Lost winds, and some of the Smash Brother's remixes (you can tell I listen to a lot of video game music). The part halfway that is heavy on the strings reminds me of a movie, but I can't recollect which . . . :\

Nice job on this. It's defenetly got quality and hard work, so good job!

djt820 responds:

Well, thank you! I can see where you get a Spyro influence but the rest I've never really taken a listen to. Haha. Thanks for actually reviewing a song for the quality of it and not for disliking it. Good to see reviews like that!

Nice

I can see why you like it. The instrument that you introduce at :13 certainly makes the peice. coupled with a well chosen bass (as you have here) makes it very addictive very fast. I would have liked to have heard that instrument that you start off with - the one that winds down - wind back up and hold at the same pace as your kick and then jump right into your beat (synth and all). about the one minute mark tho, it starts getting repeatative. Could I reccomend mebe a reverse cymbal into a crash? And the quality of your music sounds like you could do some creative things to spice up the reverse cymbal/crash. And my only other critque is clearly discernable melody. You've got a lot of stuff going on in the last minute of the song, kinda a melody there, but its so late in the song that most of the song feels like background music.

Not a bad song by any defenition. Please keep me posted if you update this and/or put up something else you'd like a review on (I like writing reviews, can you tell?). voted 5, 9, and will download this when I have and internet connection that can support a download TTnTT

Awesome song!

DjRhythm89 responds:

thanks so muchfor your honest review i have been make music for the last few years and just getting the hang of my sound of trance and techno sound if you will. yes i will be posting more very soon

pretty sweet

reminds me of secret of Mana HARDCORE!

Darren-M responds:

thanks for the review :) this is awesome

The testings for this experiment

are positive! very positive! there are just a few parts where the experimental-ness are very obvious (2:58 >_<). but other than that this has an excellent progression, stays variated, and the opening with the piano is quite beautiful. The outro is very smooth and it loops so well I didn't even notice it had looped!

I'm gonna vote 5, 9, and download it too.

Darren-M responds:

thanks for the review.

at 2:58 is the failure of this song. my friend actually recorded a guitar solo for this but i just couldnt get it to align right so i cut out a sample and tried desperately to get it to work but i guess it wasnt too pleasant. but atleast im sure now. i appreciate how you said the intro was beautiful

I have a message. A message I intended to deliver in a medium few have broadcasted it in before. Its nothing new, but the world must know. You must know.
