FUN

what an enjoyable song. This really is a treat to listen to, and I hope you are really proud of this song b/c I think its awesome! a 10 all around

Dj-UnKnOwN responds:

Thanks cRAVE, i appreciate all your reviews =)

10+ all around

this . . . this stupfied me . . . the layers and FX and the orgasm it causes in my ear . . . beautiful. where can I get a "not" NewGrounds Cut? if such a cut exists?

You are a skill level to be envied and strived for. In the mean time, thank you for letting us listen to your stuff (for free). I didn't think I would hear something of yours that topped {flying away} and {Sunlight}, but . . . I stand corrected. if the rating system went above a 10, it would be way beyond 100, I tell you that.

o_o

I would get really frustrated trying to do this song . . . its so well done. nice spin on it too. I agree that there are parts where the drum could have a bit more pump . . .

CyrusOfNaias responds:

Good ta hear from you again, man.

Indeed, it took much time to do... though I now realize I could've done more with the drums. I'll keep this in mind on my next song.

Danka!

Instant awesomeness

I can't not like it. wish I could make stuff like this . . . oh, thank you for making this, I will be enjoying it for a long time. You've put a lot of work into this, it shows and has paid off immensely. I dunno how much I like the guitar at the end . . . but does that dimminish this songs awesomeness? not one bit. perfect score all around. If I could score higher than a 10 on overall, I would

dj-Nate responds:

Thanks man. I tryed using the guitar for uniqueness.

oooh wow. I heard your little teaser before I heard this one, was not expecting the difference, but doesn't mean I wasn't glad for the difference. Love the original, this one has a slightly mellowed out feel to the original. I agree with the previous guy in saying you did the original justice. there is a big pause at the end . . . thats about the only gripe I can manage . . . woulda loved to hear this as a loop, but I am not complaining ^_^ still really awesome. Dare I say I could see this being worthy of OCremix . . . yeah. I'm voting a five

CyrusOfNaias responds:

You're too kind, my friend. The big pause was an automation that was supposed to end a lot sooner. Sorry 'bout that!

In any case, I appreciate your review and trust me man, I'm far from finished! Expect more in the future! And that goes for everyone.

really errie, but relaxing

this one starts off really downcast, and . . . foriegn feels like a good word to describe it. I really can see the alien world you are trying to portray. that really impressed me. Then the song transitions into the tunage and a nice little drumbeat. The ambient stuff comes back in and its all a nice touch. I like it. good work ^_^y

TheOrichalcon responds:

Glad you enjoyed it. I wanted to launch on that "alien world" sound before settling into any "tunage" as you put it. I'm glad it came across the way I intended.

So enjoyable

I really like this. It has such a happy feel to it. Like I am sitting on a grassy hill in Ireland or something LoTR-esque, with little sheep grazing off in the distance, and right behind me there is a guy with a turn table o_o; . . . Really good job on this. Wish I was half as good as you ^_^

Question, what inspired you to name it Portage??

Glib responds:

Portage is something you do while your canoeing. It's when you transfer your canoe from a river/lake over dry land to another river/lake.

Very nice

excellent job on this. its spot on beautiful. I really like the elaboration toward the end.

can you try making the mother banana bird theme from DKC3? The one with all the clouds and such? Thats one a my favs. and some elaboration on the tune, you did an awesome job with this one, I encourage it with that too if you are feeling up to the task . . .

thanks ^_^y

I LOVE THIS!

It reminds me of some of the Spyro levels . . . ^=^ very relaxing

like that flute

mebe vary the speed of the glitching at different parts of the song. other than that, its enjoyable. Something about the flute reminds me of the Jurrasic Park game back on the Super NES ^=^;

TheAmateurAnimator responds:

There was a Jurassic Park game for the SNES?

Thanks for the review!

I have a message. A message I intended to deliver in a medium few have broadcasted it in before. Its nothing new, but the world must know. You must know.
